Hybrid Transformation – Laura’s Postpartum Dream Body! –

After two back to back pregnancies and a hectic day to day schedule consisting of looking after two young children, Laura lost her self confidence in her body and was struggling to find the time needed to focus on herself. This was when she heard about Hybrid from a friend who had already achieved her own phenomenal postpartum transformation. With the guidance of her trainer, along with sheer determination and dedication, Laura was able to drop 9kg and 13% body fat in just 9 weeks!

What initially inspired you to get started with Hybrid Personal Training?

I had two back to back pregnancies and was really out of shape. I had lost all of my confidence but just didn’t know where to start. It was at this point that I saw a friend whom I hadn’t seen for a few months, we both had a baby at the same time and she looked incredible! I asked her what she had been doing and she mentioned Hybrid and their transformation program. It’s not something I would have ever thought of doing, or be capable of and have the time to do! I assumed it would be super time consuming, and on top of that, I had never even lifted a weight in my life! However, we both have very similar lifestyles and the fact that she had already undergone such a drastic change, gave me the confidence to do it. After I came in to check out the gym facilities, I was sold straight away.


“It wasn’t the intimidating place I thought it would be at all, Hybrid is so welcoming and there is a real sense of community here.”


What were some of the struggles you found during the process?

Initially I was worried about the training sessions, I had imagined some big scary guy shouting at me for an hour and was dreading the first session! But it was completely the opposite, I loved the sessions and seeing progress every week is super motivating.


“Weights increased, I found myself getting stronger and I just all round felt so much better.”


To be honest, there isn’t anything that really stood out to me as a struggle, or difficult to achieve. I put in the hard work, I stuck to the program and after coming out the other side, I can truly say that the whole process so was so much easier than I’d initially imagined. Managing everything outside of the gym, eating well and avoiding temptation but still trying to be sociable, was probably the harder thing to get used to. But, once I was in a routine and seeing results it became far easier to manage. My trainer was great and advised me throughout the program, adjusting the nutrition plan and training when necessary.


“Now I know how to have a relaxed night or weekend and recharge but do it in the right way and not go crazy. Saying all that, not drinking in the run up to Christmas was tough!”




How did your coach help you during the process?

My personal trainer Kasev has been amazing, he was so supportive every step of the way and knew exactly how to keep me motivated throughout the program. He was consistently available on WhatsApp for advice at any time, which was amazing in the harder moments. He made a habit of checking in on me every day, which kept me on track and pushing for the best results. I have to say, he really doesn’t miss a thing!


“My trainer really explained and broke down every part of the process in depth, why we were training in a specific way, what the purpose of each movement was, which foods would help me when having cravings, he is so knowledgeable and made it very easy to put my trust in him.”


Initially I was concerned about how the relationship would work with a male trainer, but I very quickly felt at ease with him and he has taught me so much. I also got to give him credit for putting up with some of my whinging and complaining in the gym!


What was surprising to you now that you’ve completed your program? 

Honestly, I’m just surprised I actually did it! Any kind of exercise I’ve done before I normally quit after a few weeks, so to complete the whole programme and not miss a single session is a real surprise. Such a huge sense of personal achievement. The initial “before” photos we took were also a shock, it was a huge reality check, I had no idea things had gotten so bad.


“Now I’m equally as surprised at how much weight I lost in just 9 weeks, this is the best shape I’ve ever been in and I’m really amazed it’s been possible after having two kids.”




What’s the plan going forward with your coach?

This is just the beginning, we are continuing our training focusing on strength and how to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle going forward. Plus I have a wedding dress to fit into at the end of this year so there is huge motivation!
