Hybrid Transformation – Ivy Loses 18kgs in 18 Weeks

In her 40s, Ivy had tried a number of gyms in Hong Kong to help her get fit and healthy. But it wasn’t until she started personal training at Hybrid that she was able to shed almost 18kgs in a mere 18 weeks. 

What initially inspired you to start Personal Training at Hybrid?

I had worked out previously at other gyms, but I noticed that I lacked the motivation to workout in their given environments. This was when I decided it was time for a change. I knew one of the Hybrid staff Maria already from another gym. So when she told me about Hybrid transform program, naturally I had to come see what it was all about. 

What were some of the struggles you found during the process?

I travel a lot. This proved to be a challenge at times, as there are workout routines and a meal plan to follow. It was definitely more of a struggle without my trainer there with me.

How did your coach help you during the process?

Karen helped me out so much throughout the whole process. Namely, with helping to write and explain my entire program for the time I spent away travelling. She was always very efficient with this, making sure to have them sent to me and ready to go every time I’ve been away during the 18 weeks. Furthermore, she continually helps push me to exceed my goals and expectations.

What was surprising to you now that you’ve completed your program? 

I was surprised at how responsive and hands on my trainer Karen was. She helped to answer all the necessary questions I had about. Wether it be about my food plan or my workout regime, she was always happy to help out. 

What’s the plan going forward with your coach? 

I want to get stronger now, as well as continuing to loose weight. I know now that I can achieve my goal of reaching what I feel is a healthy weight. I’ve lost over 17kg already, and I plan to keep going and see how far I can take this journey.

Who would you recommend Hybrid Personal Training to?

I recommend it to anybody who wants to get fit and achieve their personal fitness goals. They have many different programmes at Hybrid so I believe that it truly is suitable for anyone!
