What initially inspired you to start the Hybrid Transform Personal Training programme?

I’ve always been really into martial arts and fitness. Growing up I did karate, taekwondo, wrestling and even taught as a CrossFit instructor. We had been working out at other gyms in Hong Kong when one of my good friends told me he was helping to found Hybrid. As soon as it was open, we came over and signed up for group classes…the rest is history!

What were some of the struggles you found during the process?

I think the biggest struggle for me was the social aspect. I’ve been watching what I eat for around 15 years now, but with it being summer and with how social of a place Hong Kong is, there were birthdays and events going on all the time. It made it hard, as you are so focused on your transform and getting the result you want, that inevitably you have to miss out on some of the fun or stay disciplined in order to stay in line with the programme.

How did your coach help you during the process?

Throughout the process, Lucky really stayed on top of me. He helped me to formulate an amazing food plan, and he consistently made sure that I followed it as best as possible. It felt great to have someone there checking up and asking me how I was doing, and if I was following my plan. It really made me want to push to get it done as best as possible. Its crazy how effective it is when you know you have somebody checking everything that you put into your food log!

What’s the plan going forward with your coach?

I really view this first 3-4 month process as just the beginning of my journey. During this time we have really focused on fat loss whilst maintaining muscle. Now that we are getting towards the winter months, I’d like to see what I can achieve with regards to gaining more size and muscle.

I would absolutely recommend Hybrid to anyone. I love this place, and I’m so glad that I decided to come here. Great coaches, great atmosphere, great training and most importantly, great results!
