My first impression of Hybrid was that it was professional, fresh and of high-quality yet so pleasant to be in. I appreciate that it is always organised & clean, the people are always welcoming and the reservation system/app is easy to use.
I’ve been much skinnier (and younger!) but never felt so good about my own body until now. But it’s been bigger than that, and a more positive effect on my life, much more than I had expected. I never thought the physical achievement through training would affect me so positively. It gives me not only physical energy but more mental strength and confidence.
My coach was great at pushing me on both physical training and diet advice to change my body according to my goals. At the same time she was very caring and knew exactly what to do to address my concerns when I would have pain. Also her passion for her clients, and also seeing herself pushing hard as a competitive body-builder, really drives me, encourages me, and inspires me a lot. Definitely a worthy investment.
My first initial experience was the people – super warm and friendly gym staff – with the second being located in Entertainment Building. Impressive right! Layout and design is stylish and cool, the combo of MMA, machines and group fitness space along with the changing rooms that have thoughtful designs of lockers and charging facilities, designer sinks and faucets. I originally joined Classpass to try out Muay Thai gyms that could help me to correct and better my skills as having been to different multiple purpose gyms, I thought I needed to try out the Muay Thai only clubs.
That was until I tried a class at Hybrid. The coach is a fighter himself and is fresh at teaching his sport and I like that. He is motivated and curious about the process hence ope-minded, on the other hand he teaches sequences that only an active fighter would do, i.e. how to attack and then block simultaneously. Once you find what you are looking for, you don’t let go and that’s what happened to me… We all like to hang out with like-minded people, so for those who want to be more serious about the technique, Hybrid is an amazing option to consider.
Hong Kong is a tough city to live in with the travel schedule, the drinking culture, the fast pace. Now, I’m getting all my meals and training plans sent to me. Even when I’m out of my hometown I’m getting my plans, I’m getting sent the location of the nearest gym, and so on. I always have plans and support to best get me through the situation whilst staying on my goal. I get the support with daily reminders on my food, my workouts, my sleep etc.
I’ve got my structure back in place, the first week was a transitional phase that I struggled to get used to but the more I kept up with the diet protocol and training plan, coming into the gym the more I enjoyed and the more I want to get myself deeper into the project.
